This could be a focus statement from Amanda. For me, an important part of creating a unique and comfortable home is to understand a family’s needs and wants. I then use this knowledge as a guide to choose the right flow, function and usability. The result is a combination of the client’s desires and my sensibility of mixing colors, patterns, and textures layered with a blend of antiques and new pieces. This creates a beautiful synergy throughout the home and starts a lasting narrative that evolves over time.

Full House Decor Transformations

Amanda Zorumski is an Interior design and decor company that handles whole home renovations and full house decor transformations to space planning, which is an analysis of how space can be used efficiently. We always start with a look book of inspiration pictures. It is an important part of the process that helps me get to know my clients and understand their likes, dislikes and the overall feel they are looking for. After an initial meeting and prior to any work starting, we create a client presentation that includes a Design Layout and Plan of inspirational photos, furniture recommendations with correlating fabrics and a fabric palette. 

Working together with a client’s team of builders and architects is an integral part of the process. I work thoughtfully with the entire team. It is important that everyone is in agreement. I strive to interpret the needs of my client, and create a comfortable, elegant house that feels like home.

Creating a balance between incorporating a home’s history with modern materials and design is a process that is unique to each client. I start by listening to the wants and needs. Most people that gravitate towards my work have a special piece or sentimental heirloom that’s important to them. Sometimes it starts with the history of a house or even a favorite color. From there it just organically happens.

Whether you are a minimalist or over the top extravagant, there's no right or wrong way to decorate for the holidays. It's a festive time of year and perfect for entertaining family and friends. The important point to remember is make it enjoyable and stress free.

A Dream Bedroom Through the Years

Our client was determined during the whole home renovation of this Old Greenwich gem to create a room for her young daughter that could evolve as she grows older.

Bringing The Outside In

This lovely antique renovation needed the outside to echo the crisp lines of the interior with a nod to the majestic view of Long Island. We began with the lines of the inside rooms adjacent to the veranda.

Family Time

Knowing when a room needs to have function and serve an active family is good intuition! Our client's family had some stunning art with a great statement table then we got to work.
