About

Amanda Zorumski Design & Decor was founded 13 years ago. After working extensively in NYC she decided to start a family and open her own business. This organic transition was a perfect starting point to hone her aesthetic and showcase a unique design approach.

Amanda believes that design can change the way people view the world and the space they live in. It should be honest, intriguing and complement space and function. She finds inspiration for her projects through nature, traveling, reading and most importantly through her clients needs and wishes for a treasured home. Her style is eclectic. She likes to mix and layer textures and patterns as well as incorporate antiques and treasured family heirlooms into the new look.

Amanda graduated from Hamilton College and received an MS in Interior Design at Pratt Institute. She worked on commercial interiors including the St. Regis Bal Harbour, W Times Square, Tiffany’s NYC, Downtown and an Oberoi hotel in India.

Design & Décor with Today’s Touch

For me, an important part of creating a unique and comfortable home is to understand a family’s needs and wants. I then use this knowledge as a guide to choose the right flow, function and usability. The result is a combination of the client’s desires and my sensibility of mixing colors, patterns, and textures layered with a blend of antiques and new pieces. This creates a beautiful synergy throughout the home and starts a lasting narrative that evolves over time.

Press & Trends

Whether you are a minimalist or over the top extravagant, there's no right or wrong way to decorate for the holidays. It's a festive time of year and perfect for entertaining family and friends. The important point to remember is make it enjoyable and stress free.
Our client was determined during the whole home renovation of this Old Greenwich gem to create a room for her young daughter that could evolve as she grows older.
This lovely antique renovation needed the outside to echo the crisp lines of the interior with a nod to the majestic view of Long Island. We began with the lines of the inside rooms adjacent to the veranda.
